what the deal is here. they turned out the light. there was no home cooking going on during the play-offs. i think ryan vogelsong came up big, best game of his career tonight and evening the series with the st. louis cardinals at one game apiece. third base coach tim singing the national anthem with the grateful dead. top of the first. matt holliday takes out marco scutaro at second base. now, scutaro was checked out by trainers. it's a left hip injury. x-rays are negative. we should know more tomorrow after his mri. giants didn't have to wait long to get a lead. angel pagan, gone! they led 1-0 off chris carpenter. in the bottom of the fourth inning, it was 2-1, giants. poetic justice. guess who misplays it? matt holliday! ryan vogelsong was the first giants starter to go more than five innings in the play-offs. he strikes out pete kozma. he had four strikeouts in the game. romo strikes out kozma, to end it. the giants win 7-1, their first victory at home in the play- offs. the series is now tied at one. there were different opinions in the clubhouse after the game about that fly. >>
